Common Linnet - Linaria Cannabina
In the Common Linnet, as in the Organetto, the sexual deformity is certainly more evident in the first period of the loves where the male takes on a beautiful red color in the chest and sides while the female remains with a plumage where brownish tones prevail.
Habitat: this melodious song finch can be found in hilly and mountainous areas and prefers grassy and bushy areas. In Italy it is not easy to see even if it is present. We find it however in Europe, part of Asia and North Africa.
Feeding: prefers grass seed, small shoots and even small insects during the breeding season.
