Chaffinch - Fringilla coelebs
Certainly among the European species the Chaffinch is one of the best songbirds. The male has a wide chromatic variety that goes from the black of the forehead, wings and coverts to the gray-blue of the nape and shoulders passing from the rust red of the back and the chest. The female has much more subdued plumage colors ranging from yellowish-brown to gray-white with no red and blue, another important note that distinguishes the male, in the reproduction period its colors intensify a lot, reaching even the beak totally blue.
Habitat: its distribution is very wide, all of Europe, North Africa, part of Asia and Russia. A very adaptable bird, enough green areas and water.
Feeding: it feeds alternating seeds with small insects.
