Painted Firetail - Emblema Picta
The Painted Firetail is a passerine bird of the family of the estrilids. A small bird 10/12 centimeters in size, it has a beautiful color with a warm brown back, which can be compared to that of the Franciscan tonics; the lower part of the body, starting from the throat to the back, is black, decorated on the sides by numerous white dots, characteristic of many other diamonds.
Habitat: widespread in Australia, this bird is an inhabitant of dry and semi-desert areas with a prevalence of shrubs with permanent or semi-permanent freshwater sources.
Feeding: in nature it feeds on Triodria seeds, but it also cites other foods of plant origin such as shoots, berries and fruits and even insects.
