Bohemian Waxwing - Bombycilla garrulus
The Bohemian Waxwing is a robust bird of the size of 19-23 centimeters, with a square head and provided with a squat and conical beak, as well as an erectile digitiform crest, while the wings are pointed, the legs short and the tail is short and square. The sexual dimorphism is present but not accentuated, with the female presenting a small bib, wingspots and a yellow caudal band with a smaller extension. In both sexes the eyes are dark brown, the beak is black and the legs are gray-black.
Habitat: it lives in coniferous forests in Eurasia, North America and Alasska.
Feeding: The favorite food of the beccofrusone is represented by berries and small ripe fruits. It also feeds on insects in particular in the summer.
